Artist's Statement, 11/00
My work is a focus on the visual incidence of man's mark within the context of nature… the volition and order of man's consciousness in "co-incidence" with the enigma and greater order of nature. I regard painting as essentially mark-making which is derived from written language predating Art and literacy.
